Is throat-clearing contagious?

You know, like how yawning is, triggering the urge to yawn by hearing or seeing others do it. Seems whenever I or someone in my workplace clears their throat out loud, like, five other people do it immediately after. Maybe it's just coincidence... or just me. Ahem! 😅

Honestly, it's probably people who didn't want to be the first ones to do it relieved that someone else did so they followed suit. You're a leader ducky!
