It's only really immoral if you either won awards w/o disclosing your steroid use or took so much that you lose control of yourself. In either case though, taking steroids for non-medical reasons is disrespectful to your body and I'm glad you don't do it anymore.

No but I would make your Dr aware of your history. My hubby didnt take hormones but he did do the legal prohormones. He bulked up using them when he was trying to see what he could become. He was huge. He stopped all that before they also became illegal and just maintianed with diet and supplements and lots of lifting. Now he (at the recommendation of his doctor) has traded bulk for strength and difinition doing a crossfit boot camp every morning. He is definitely fun to touch. 😉

Being honest about it is good, because many on social media aren't which deceives young viewers

@BeefySenpie thank you so much that is the reason i am honest about it because lying about it is harmful to their followers

Steroids are highly misunderstood. They are 100% legal, if they are prescribed by a doctor. Most doctors refuse to prescribe them, but some doctors (usually sports doctors) will prescribe them. Also, some years ago a lot of doctors were prescribing them for people with HIV, to help them maintain a healthy weight. I don't know if this still happens today.

NO, you're not bad. Taking steroids under a doctor's supervision, or if you're extremely well educated about all aspects of steroid use, coupled with pushing yourself hard at the gym, and staying on a STRICT workout schedule, can give you miraculous results. I'm speaking from personal experience.

It’s not terrible, it just makes what you achieved kinda hollow compared to those who did it without.

@HeidiA You should do some research its impossible to be a bodybuilder, powerlifter with out. I have done it the natural way and its never as rewarding compared to doing it with steroids because steroids are the gravity of those two sports. You can get a great body without them but nothing compared to a bodybuilder or a powerlifter.

@HeidiA You should do a little research. I do agree with what you are saying but bodybuilding has been around before steroids so has powerlifting and other sports as well. When steroids were first invited they were legal in fact they were legal up until 1990 after that they became illegal everywhere. When you look at natural bodybuilders they look very slim which is good they have good definition but if you think that someone that is on the Mr. Olympia stage was able to make it without steroids its just not possible. In football, track and field, boxing and things like that I do agree it is a short cut but in bodybuilding and in power lifting it just is not possible.
*People with asthma* So what??? We've been taking steroids from the moment we were diagnosed... 🤷♀️

@HootyTheNightOwl LOL, I took them illegally to build muscle which is very different.
@bushi2020 Steroids are still steriods, be they legal or otherwise - that's my point...

I don't think so. What matters is what you do in the present

@swirlie i dont feel like giving a history lesson but bodybuilding and powerlifting are both cool. Steroids as i said earlier used to be legal to this day in many countries they still are. I'm not using them now i havent used them in ten years i was just reflecting on my past. If you ever have free time and are board look it up research. My thoughts are is that you can have a good experience with them it is just reality. The problem is when builders and lifters over do it. At points it's worth it and in other points it's not. Do you think you can look like Arnold in the 70s and 80s naturally.
