I Am A Homeschooled Teenager

I'm 14, and I weigh 559 lbs.

Surgery to remove a brain tumor damaged the part of my brain that controls metabolism and appetite, so after the surgery I started gaining weight very fast.

Kids started teasing me at school and it got so bad that my parents decided to take me out of school and teach me at home themselves.

I like it, mostly. I get to go at my own pace, which is faster than regular school. I do miss regular school a little bit, though. But I don't miss the teasing, so that's good.

I like it a lot, actually, and not just because there's no bullying.

I love that I can learn at my own pace and my parents are both scientists and they make really good teachers.
