Not here, but on EP I did and it freaked me out.
I thought that I was safe on EP, being anonymous and all. I also figured that no one close to me would ever wander onto the EP website.
Well imagine my surprise when I saw one of my family members there! I knew it was them because they used a real photo of themselves as a profile pic.
I just about wanted to die when I saw them. Luckily they didn't recognise me as I didn't post any real photos of myself, but it made me paranoid that they would still somehow figure out that I was there.
I laid low and didn't make a spectacle out of myself and watched them from afar. I even considered leaving EP after years on there because I didn't want to share that site with anyone in my "real" life.
EP was my get away, my little spot to go to talk about anything and forget my problems and I didn't want that ruined.
Fortunately for me, the family member got bored of EP after a month or two and drifted off. I never saw them online again.
It was a close call!
