[c=#7700B2]In response to some of the comments here I just want to say again that everyone uses this site differently, and there should not be pressure to show or be who you are in real life. Obviously it's fine if you want to use this site like Facebook is (meant to be) used, with your real untouched photos and the details of your real life. But for many of us this place offers different possibilities and that can include experimenting with being someone else. That has always been going on on EP and SW and I don't see anything wrong with it; everyone should just be aware that it's part of the reality of online life, especially on this kind of site.[/c]

lol thats part of the reason ep was closed down

[c=#7700B2]@theowl: Oh really?? I thought it was because of a murder, the conclusion of their experiments with artificial intelligence, business mismanagement or the dozens of other theories floating around here. Seriously, EP had a huge troll problem but that is a totally different issue.[/c]

that murder was part of the reason.. the site being too anonymous and that government was getting involved.

[c=#7700B2]@theowl: Well SW has kept that anonymity; there is no requirement to use your real picture, you specifically are allowed to have multiple accounts, you can easily change (not only hide) your age or gender or country of location, and none of them are verified. Evidently the people running SW do not see these aspects as problems, and I'm pretty sure they are part of the attraction of this site for many of us.[/c]

yeah and its heading down the same path.. plus all the pedos online.

[c=#7700B2]@theowl: Facebook is still accepting new members :)[/c]

i use fb. i actually use it more than this site. but i guess youre just a perv on this site.
Okay, what does this have to do with this question.
SW-User
[c=#7700B2]@theowl: See, unfortunately your totally unfounded accusation there is typical, in my experience, of people on here who get all worked up about wanting everyone to be "real."[/c]

[c=#7700B2]@iCrochetstuff: Like I said at the start of the comment, I'm responding to a theme in some of the replies - not your original question.[/c]
Ok. My bad. Although u did make sense tho :) I wasn't dismissing it.@CinnamonCocoa:

[c=#7700B2]@iCrochetstuff: Oh I didn't think you were, I understood you were just asking where my thoughts fit in. Don't worry, I always assume people are nice unless they start in with personal attacks![/c]
@CinnamonCocoa: good. and thanks i only attack dumb people on here or pervs.

I completely agree with that- but what I think most people have a problem with isn't anonymity it's using pics of real people that are not themselves and misrepresenting it as if it is them- catfishing- totally different

[c=#7700B2]@Makemeluvit: I do agree there is a distinction there, though it's not always recognized.[/c]
