How do we know pics of ppl are real??

Your pic is obviously real. It depends what you mean by "real" though. Many browsers now have the ability to just click a picture and do a Google reverse-search on where it comes from. Of course, there's always the chance that the dude posting about buttsecks on SW is REALLY a rich millionaire actor, or the woman being so bored they want people to message them online is actually a famous porn star. In which case, your snooping ways are missing a perfect opportunity!

Conversely, a small crop (ever wonder why all the "real" photos on SW are cropped and rotated into weird positions on SW?) makes it no longer match the original source of the image; I'm just hoping that most people making fake profiles don't know about that or just don't bother because there's enough people who don't know and possibly don't care how to back-search images. Beyond that, there's some tell-tale signs of professional pictures that an SW user is unlikely to have, such as diffuse lighting and backdrops and the focal length when you can tell:

A LOT of people use their picture and alter it to make them thinner, prettier, younger.
It isn't just people using commonly used model pictures. You can tell a retouched photo, some here on this post.

[c=#7700B2]In response to some of the comments here I just want to say again that everyone uses this site differently, and there should not be pressure to show or be who you are in real life. Obviously it's fine if you want to use this site like Facebook is (meant to be) used, with your real untouched photos and the details of your real life. But for many of us this place offers different possibilities and that can include experimenting with being someone else. That has always been going on on EP and SW and I don't see anything wrong with it; everyone should just be aware that it's part of the reality of online life, especially on this kind of site.[/c]

Not sure. You can search with Google images but then again, some images that are taken from private profiles, will not come up in results. :?

You could try google image search but they still could be real photos stolen from someone else. Always be careful.

You can't... I just use kik (since apparently no one uses sc on here) and ask them to send me a live pic on there.

reverse google search can help but it wont work on all pictures so you still can be catfished

Ask them to send a pic doing something random and specific- like holding up three fingers or a paper that says something specific you asked them to write

Mine is 100% me and I have no issue showing multiple photos (no not naked) to that fact:) Simple as that.
