I've had breaks 6+months once I had year long break. I often take breaks.

Depending on my offline life activities, I do take breaks from here or any online presence, in general.
There were years when I took a long break from SW (I have just returned on April this year).
If you feel it’s taking too much of your attention and emotions, it’s usually a good sign to take a break.

Yeah, I’ve been strongly considering completely deleting.. not a break but a last hoorah
@Kiesel ahhhh don't do it
i'd say turn on notifications for messages like i do when i leave so you get those at least and turn off the thingie that shows when you're online(some are still nosey and notice, but at least you don't have to delete or anything to pop in and check)
sometimes it's just nice to decompress and come back after a breather

My account is going to delete soon. I'm looking forward to facing alone.

I take all kinds of breaks from SW and other places as well.
Type 1 Break: It’s is superficial at best. I still check and read things. May even return messages, or even place a reaction on something a friend posted, but I make no public comments at all I won’t post.
Type 2 Break: I still come and check my messages, but I don’t read comment or react to anything. I may or may not reply to messages depending on the what and what’s of it.
Type 3 Break: I go dark and I don’t even bother logging in at all.
On FB - which has people attached to it I regularly deactivate my account for days or weeks on end.
Breaks can be a good thing if used wisely.

I took a break for 7 years.
All the time. I took a break from here for 6 long years while I got my shit together. I have this, Tiktok, and YouTube. That's the only real social media I use and I ditch the other two on a regular basis too.

no...i often wonder why people who feel they need to take a break from here actually come back. like what is different the next time around?
valobasa4ever · F
I often step away from this place.
Truthfully, I am not deeply connected to anyone who would notice if I were gone.
The longest I was away was for over three years. Yet, I have never brought myself to delete or deactivate my account here.

No. I don't feel like there's anything to take a break from.

I do at times but other social media sites and trolls have been making silly comments about my upcoming court appearance

I’ve taken time away from here… but it happened organically, not as a planned thing.
If you feel it’s a good idea, why not!?! You can always log back in whenever you want.
