So according to my poll/question: it seems that men are the ones who want to keep inboxes open without any no option to close it if we wanted to.
I wonder why.

I agreed with you when I read that but I didn't respond because I was embarrassed because it sets a boundary on myself. Men hate boundaries.
But if you're getting push back I'll be vocal: you're right. There should be an option to close or heavily limit private messages.

Let’s sit for a second and see how many “helpful comments” we will get about how we should just ignore the messages, how if we don’t reply they can’t message us again, how we can BLOCK the person, we can apply filters in the inbox, and we can even set our settings to block all messages and friend requests from age groups below 18, and 56and above!!!
