If we had the option to close our inbox to private messages, would you choose to close it?

@deathfairy I understood that you were saying it's not a permanent decision. I was just trying to imply it's never been a big enough distraction or worry that I would ever feel the need to turn it off.

@deathfairy I think they gave that option to the whiteboard because it displays publicly on the profile. For a private inbox they'd probably just tell you to ignore it if you don't want private conversations. But perhaps you're one of those that would further descend into the darkest depths of insanity seeing that notification flag keep getting larger and larger.

I literally can’t have any number badge accumulating for messages, notifications, I keep it empty at all times.
