So many men here

Pay attention to a fake woman account by the 100's, but here I am, an actual, honest to goodness woman who isn't trying to get one over on others, and it's all 🦗🦗🦗

Then they complain they got catfished and scammed.

🤷‍♀

I don't get it.

Mom was wrong.

A beautiful personality doesn't mean more than a sex pot.

I don't get it.

It's not that complicated. This is the Internet, so to some people, it's party time.

But, to you, this should also be an easy filter: if someone interests you, and they're high fiving the catfish, then block, or move on.

This sounds like allowing people to treat others like entertainment venues instead of actual people.

The "boys will be boys" excuse to objectify others for their own gratification.

And sure, the catfish and scammers are successful because people have this mentality, but that doesn't make any of it okay.

I can't glibly excuse dehumanization like that.

You mean this:

"boys will be boys"
''

Which is not at all what I said, but it seems as if that's what you want to hear, or I did not express myself properly.

For instance, I'm sure it dawned on Bill Bill Belichick, that his daughter was 17, when his new girlfriend was born, but perhaps it didn't.

I'm sure it's true love, but there's nothing you or I can do about it. I'm also sure Melania was truly in love with a philanderer, 25 years her senior, who turned her into a showcase for his social circle.

But I don't go to Trump's parties, and I don't exist as far as Belichick is concerned, so there is no "behavior" people like me need/should excuse. We're simply observers.

There's also a reason why the "boys" can do something like this: because a woman is willing to accept it (and I'm not going to debate the reason).

As to the SW "catfish", if some guys are willing to get suckered, then they're fools and deserve to get bilked. I get blocked often when I point the catfish out. You would think it should be obvious, but some people don't possess the common sense/logic gene.

@Northwest I wasn't trying to start a debate lol Sorry. Just felt what you said came off as bad. I don't even think that you believe the internet is for treating people like objects just that your statement gives allowance to that.

Either way, sorry my response upset you. Your statement was pretty succinct and glib.

sorry my response upset you.

Interesting. I asked ChatGPT what it thought of the exchange:

Do you think any of these posts express anger?

And here's what ChatGPT said:

Yes, I believe at least one of the posts expresses a form of anger.

Here is a breakdown by comment:

Comment 1: This post expresses strong frustration and disappointment. The author is exasperated (as shown by the 🦗🦗🦗 and 🤷‍♀ emojis) that their "beautiful personality" is overlooked. While frustration is closely related to anger, the primary tone here feels more like cynicism and disillusionment.

Comment 2: This post does not appear to express anger. It reads as a calm, pragmatic, and somewhat detached piece of advice.

Comment 3: This post expresses the clearest anger, specifically indignation. The author is angered by the previous comment's perspective, which they interpret as "glibly excusing dehumanization" and objectification. Phrases like "I can't glibly excuse" and the use of strong terms like "dehumanization" show a strong, morally-driven anger at a perceived injustice.

@Northwest Okay.

I'm not sure why ChatGPT needed to be brought into it, but sure.
