The 32nd President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945) once said

"A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor."

How are you?

I am getting tired, unfortunately. I finished my book last night...(stayed up till 2 a.m. to do so), and I have spent the day on my laptop. Whether or not that was a constructive use of my time I can't say.

Let me speculate that with all your wonderful quotations, and the insights they provide, you must be VERY intelligent, and very well read.

We are privileged to hear the things you choose to share.
@4meAndyou First off, congratulations on finishing your book. Secondly, I feel you don't waste your time doing anything so the time you spent on your laptop was time well spent.
Thirdly I am flattered greatly by your compliment. I do try to read a lot but to be honest I don't read as much as I feel I should.
Fourthly thank you for your kind words.

@onrealityofdreams AND you are balanced. You will spend time outdoors today, I am sure.

Douglas Preston's books are page turners...I embarked on reading the entire Penergast series, and I must say that although some of them are dark, they hold one's interest unfailingly. I just finished book 18 in the series.
@4meAndyou You're right. I love the outdoors and in fact will be logging off soon for my 'outside time'.

And I agree with you on the Pendergast series though I've only read three of the books, again highlighting my shortcomings.

@onrealityofdreams I am eating them up like potato chips...🤣🤣🤣...(If I were allowed to eat potato chips). 😉
@4meAndyou You're devouring them, in a literary sense. 😆
