I imagine the DOS attacks here

Are due to the response to Kirk's karmic demise.

It didn't start till this weekend and maybe it's a coincidence, but I've seen more people say "one less asshole" than sympathies.

Just a thought i had.

That was going to be the response both where I live and in my community. A guy at the party I attended shrugged and said, "One less member of "Vanilla ISIS". Others toasted. I couldn’t help but think, gawd, folks on SW would be horrified, because they just can’t imagine what most of us have seen.

It could be, but I don't think anyone would consider SW influential enough to invest that much. (Or is it pretty easy and cheap? I know how DDOS attacks work, but not much about how they are organised tbh.)

@NerdyPotato A lot of times they are multiserver attacks that can be easily set up. You just schedule a time and walk away. The comouter servers do the rest. As far as I remember.

It would be easier to pull off on this site than say FB.
