Is it just me or has SW become way worse these past 5 years?

I feel like there were way more people here, and more interesting and fun things happening just 5 years ago.

to be fair - EP declined in the last year or two into something less than it was during the Golden Era.

@Pretzel I actually wasn't there the past couple years of EP, so I never experienced that decline. 😅

@Saage we had some great people there- some went to other sites and I went to one of them - but it was more like Quora and didn't have the interaction.

oh well..we take what we get.

@Pretzel The redesign really wrecked EP. I think they were trying to make it more like Facebook at the time, but it really backfired.

Oh believe me, it is not just you. In the last few years it's regressed immensely. Far too many decent people have left and it's now largely gross fetishes, AI/catfish and 'tell a joke' site.

@Magenta I remember people making casual art and writing competitions and the like, although that might be more than 5 years ago.

@Saage Yes I was part of those writing challenges. I think it's been in steady decline since the whole Covid pandemic.
