Can you limit comments on posts here?

I get people having a conversation about their impressions without reference to me, except perhaps in a misogynistic manner and it’s very off-putting. Perhaps, it’s why so few make posts, which I think is quite tragic. Why join social media like this where you can talk about your experiences if you’re bludgeoned into not telling your story by thoughtless oafs?

I think you can set a post to private, so that only people you follow can see it, but I have never looked into how to do that.

Sometimes, I just delete specific comments from my posts it I think they are really off-base.

@DrWatson it is a setting on the image when you upload it.

Beyond blocking people, there is something called "muting" -- I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it sounds like it keeps people's comments from being visible to you?

@ChipmunkErnie How do you monitor if you’re being abused with that?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@Ximenajacoba No idea. I've never used it, I just block people I find offensive. I've just noticed the option there, along with the block.

If you think this is bad, i posted some nudes selfies on a photo blog and was excoriated for it.
@samueltyler2 Did you set it as "adult" ?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@bijouxbroussard yes, it was on a forum called nudes and boudoir. I also mentioned in the title that it was a male figure.
