I like it that you see the things so clearly. Indeed America has done a lot in the last months to be a laughing stock for the rest of the world. And if I would be an American I would not be happy about it at all.
But the other site is this: If America is "a laughing stock for the rest of the world" or not - in my eyes it's no reason at all to hate it. Especially not the all nation.
By the way: My soul mate is an American. 🙂

@Loretta78: Thank you. It's truly shameful, an embarrassment... But no, I don't hate the nation itself. America is a fine country, it's its people that suck.

@Carver: SOME of the people. Not all.
I hate it to speak in generally. It's like "Germans are Nazis" or "Russians are agents." There are always SOME people of every nation that suck - never all! :-)
