There has been debate in the past about emoji responses: whether to have them or not. To have the heart emoji replaced or added to.
To heart a comment is the minimalist way of acknowledging their reply, doing less can be translated by some as either not seeing it or not worthy of acknowledging.
Ultimately we all do what suits us i suppose.

@Matt85 But you could use the shock face sad face the angry face and sometimes to be awkward the hug to acknowledge the post and disagree. To me a heart will always mean a like. I can't see it any other way. And thanks for the Love. Changes on Saturday night TV is literally driving this chimp apesh-t tonight. If my chromosomes took over I'd break out crying.

@FloorGenAdm emoji to your HEARTS delight. My point to the one you can see I'm arguing with is a heart indicates a like not an acknowledgement of having read. There are other emojis for that that can indicate you've read and dislike or disagree and the red face to indicate you're pissed.

@MrBrownstone I did in another post with the same stubborn prince, that's spelled P R I C K, on our original argument. He refused. To me a heart represents a like not just just an acknowledgement of being read. I'm not going down that road with him again. I never mentioned the available emojis but you can see our conflict here and his justification carried from another post. I will be avoiding him unless he tries to give me a hard time again. Then I will block him and Tastyfrzz also.
