Think of it like a large area full of walls. Each wall has a ladder and one person is standing on each ladder. If they climb up, there are bright lights and happiness, and going down is sadness and depression.
So you see another person on a ladder across from you, and it is obvious they are having trouble holding on, they are slipping and sliding down the ladder, but they are too far away to help, all you can do is listen to what they say and offer encouragement. You can't actually do sh_t to help them, just watch. Can you say the right thing to help them grip better and start moving up again? It can be hard, so many people just stay silent and watch.
Now there is the naked man rippling with muscles and a long dong, now THAT you can get into, and you look down and you are naked as well, much more fun.
