Democrat Fascists: This is what we are dealing with...

So some liberal troll brought up the "convicted felon" narrative again. I told him that Nelson Mandela was a "convicted felon", and asked if he objected to Mandela being elected to the presidency of his nation. The liberal said "Well that would be up to his nation, wouldn't it?".
I replied that's right, 312 -226. He deleted my comment and all further comments. A lib fascist at work.

Mandela was convicted of crimes against a one party state, including illegal assembly and protest in support of universal human rights.

Trump was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records to further his own financial interests.

There is a bit of a difference.

@SunshineGirl Meanwhile..

https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/new-report-how-manhattan-da-alvin-bragg-and-judge-merchan-violated

Excerpt: The report explains the several ways in which New York County District Attorney (DANY) Alvin Bragg's prosecution of President Trump suffers from severe legal and procedural defects, including:
Bragg's unconstitutional and unprecedented Russian-nesting-doll theory of criminal liability, in which the jury never had to reach unanimity as to each element of the criminal offenses; and
Bragg's usurpation of the federal government's exclusive authority to prosecute alleged violations of federal campaign finance laws and the Biden-Harris Administration's refusal to intercede to protect federal interests.

The report also details Judge Merchan's egregious legal rulings before and during the trial that all cut against President Trump's rights

@SunshineGirl I would do more research on Mandela and see what other crimes he committed
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@nedkelly The question is not about the sum of convictions accumulated, it is about historical context and personal motivation. Mandela was a freedom fighter who sacrificed his own liberty for the futures of millions of his compatriots. Trump is a shyster who got his fingers burned returning once too often to the till.

@graphite He had the right to appeal . . unlike Mandela.

@SunshineGirl Mandela did great things, but also did some terrible crimes just search The dark side of Nelson Mandela
@SunshineGirl Trump is also a freedom fighter.
@SunshineGirl Yeah, it's always "different". 🤭
