Downvoting

Some members will remember a controversy some time ago about the introduction of the "downvote". Most members who commented were opposed, some very strongly, but the management ignored us, as usual. I have just been downvoted, for the first time. I found it an unpleasant and offensive experience. I suppose it could have been a mistake, but if it wasn't, I challenge the person who did it to have the courage to explain what he or she disliked about my comment.

With an old account (now defunct) I dared to downvote one post I didn't agree with and suddenly I was blocked by half SW.
Never again lol

@within I might observe that the kind of person who would block you for such a reason is not the kind of person you should be concerned about. If you cant be true to yourself here, then where??😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I never liked pack mentality. I came back here today and already blocked users I don't like and whoever bullied me. And I always block people back if they block me. I just want to use a social site in peace, without having to deal with bullies and drama.

@within If those are your reasons for being here, you dont need any other justification. This little corner of SW is yours to carve out exactly how you want. Personally I have the strength to ignore the bullies and the morons. But thats me..😷

@within i do that and ppl constantly block me. its not the only reason but yea stuff happens

@RachelLia2003 I'm on other social sites where the Block function is different (i.e. the person you block will still see your activity/profile if they don't block you back) or doesn't exist at all. I usually don't take a block personally (because I'm quick to block back lol), but what I hate is people bullying and cliché. And there were two people (blocked now ofc) that were bullying me just because I dared to like a post lol...
