The purpose of this site is to make ad revenue. There is no mission statement for this place, no stated goal. If you go to the help page it references the tools they offer and how to deal with people and shows you a site map listed at the bottom of the page which is the only place you will find any organized linking for the forums. Otherwise you can choose from the random list on the lower part of the main page.

This is a place of hanging out and "talking" to whomever about whatever, as you said, to discuss publicly and privately different aspects of life. But this place has no purpose other than to be here for us all to make noise at one another. And because of its lack of direction, there is no set goal to meet. Like with instagram or tip Tok, you can make money by becoming well known. What does one get out of this place?

You cannot expect much from strangers online no matter how much you wish. In these times, online is more superficial. Angry. Uncaring. You are old enough to realize this. A good way to meet good people is in person in your locale. Make friends. Have fun. Explore common interests. You cannot change people. You can only change yourself.

I happen to enjoy reading posts about politics. A LOT. This is a major political turning point for our nation. I am deeply interested in political outcomes.

I suggest that if you don't like all of the sorts of post you listed above, you stop reading them.
