Just some observations
Some people, not everyone....
Are really sensitive. The purpose of these sites in general, are to discuss publicly and privately different aspects of life.
This site requires you choose a certain number of "forums" to give people an idea of who you are and what you are about. Further, you have the ability to fill out a profile and select topics of interest...aka what you hope to get out of your interactions here.
I truly appreciate people who are clear in their profiles as to what the want or don't want etc. No men, no humans, stay off my grass, don't talk about lawn ornaments, etc.
However some choose to not fill out a profile, and that is ok also. However, if you message someone, especially because you have a common interest they get nasty, and defensive. Mature people say please, and thank you, or the opposite...no thanks or something else.
People on here seem to do a higher degree of ghosting, or even block you for saying hello, or happy new year etc.
It would be nice if those who choose not to interact in private messaging could simply turn that feature off, and save everyone a lot of time. Or just put in your profile no private messaging.
Yes some will say that people don't read profiles, and that is true for some also, so it isn't a one size fits all situation, but being civil is not really practiced at a high level online anymore, if ever.
There are too many nasty posts directed at people over the stupidity of politics. In fact, there are too many political posts in general.
Further, saying hello doesn't imply dating. In fact, most on here are probably not dating. There seems to be a high level of men pretending to be women, and a lot of simps.
Posts are labeled mature, fetish, and sensitive, that in most cases aren't. I suspect it is simply automated to trigger on keywords, and no one running the site cares about that.
There appears to be the gauntlet of children lying about their age to see adult content. There are pictures borderline in the explicit areas. Management is allowing people to decide what is appropriate in some areas, but not others. Incest, waste fetishes, are just weird, and there seems to be a high level of toleration for that, but a high censorship rating on others.
Threatening violence should never be tolerated. Not so much on this site, but others seem to praise murderers, and support bad authoritarian governments, or even support for assassination. At least that isn't as bad here.
There is a high degree of persons threatening suicide, but they need help, and not attention.
Anyway, your mileage may vary. I am not trying to change anyone's mind just observations.
