I do not understand the feed

On home feed I see a new post. Under new I see hours or days old. Shouldn't that be the opposite?

Further, I saw a new post on the feed, when I clock on home, or new, it disappeared.

I changed the feed settings to show new and groups I am in...not there.

Maddening. It appears old posts are preferred by the algorithm.

The feed does not post all new posts as they are posted. Totally screwed up, and admin thinks it is what we want.
If you want to see all new posts, when posted you need to click on forums then click on the topic you want (on the left hand side) then click on that same heading top right.
This will display - newest first, all posts for that forum.
