does this option mean i blocked accounts from everyone under 18?
because that's what i want and ive never seen a minors account before. but recently i saw an account of someone with a hidden age saying they were under 18. does that mean they lied about their birth year when making their account?
They allow minors on here apparently, and stupidly so, IMO. So yes, block them like that. That's what I do. No good can come from having a site that is clearly meant and aimed at older users (especially with all the unmoderated fetish accounts) allow minors to interact with adult. Just leads to grooming.
Yes, but that only works if they admit their real age when setting up their account.
Nothing stops me creating an account claiming to be 9999 years old, when I could potentially be a minor... and that's how they circumvent the block feature - and get reported by me for circumvention. They usually state it in a post or in the about me.

At best, this person is a minor who lied about his/her age... at worst, it's a sicko either looking to trick unwitting adults into inappropriate conversations or a "pedophile hunter" account wanting to get close enough to suspected pedophiles to hunt them down and create a video on YouTube.
Yes, that is what that means. Even if a minor doesn’t list their age on their profile, if they’ve told the truth when they established it, it shouldn’t appear where minors are blocked.
