Why are you hiding your age and or gender?

I don't understand why some people on here are so secretive about their age and gender?

@SW-User You're not old. My husband is older than you (he's 53) and I don't consider him old.

@SW-User I know how you feel. People ask me my age at work, and it's like this long sigh before it comes out of my mouth.

@twiigss I actually like telling people my age because I look 20-25 years younger and I love shocking people.

@SW-User Yeah, the one new guy guessed my age, well he was about 14 years off, so I was thinking, WOW lol.
