Why Bother Commenting On Other SW User's Posts?

How do you feel when there is no response to your comments? No reply, no emoji, nada, nothing?

I realize that some posts get a number of responses so you may not be able to reply to everyone. But how about a simple smile or thumbs up acknowledging another SW members comments? I have written some genuine encouraging responses to posts, and i see the post.has comments and replies to other comments, but i see nothing. Is it a popularity contest here? Do people lack basic social graces.

You are absolutely right, my dear. Everyone deserves to be seen and heard. If I have mistakenly overlooked you, please forgive me. Sometimes it does seem to be a popularity contest here. Even on birthdays, some get two or three hundred votes while another may get only seven or eight responses. It's weird. I'm very grateful you're here. You are a shining light in this world and I very much appreciate you. I want you to know that. I never mean to overlook you. I have always been so appreciative of your responses to my posts. I'll try to be more mindful of yours. ❤🤗🙏

@LadyGrace Oh Lady Grace, this post was not directed towards you, it is a general observation of this site. I do not understand how the algorithm feed works here at sw, and why you see some posts and don't see others. I am grateful for your posts and try to like them as often as I see them in my feed. Keep proclaiming Biblical truth, you do a great job.

@OverTheHill oh I know that honey. But I did want you to know that I have been lack and I'm so sorry. You always and I mean always comment on my post and you will never know how much I appreciate you. I hope I will be as supportive as you have been to me. You are dear to me. There will be a time at the end of this month and probably maybe most of next month when I will be having cataracts removed from both eyes so I won't be able to come on SW as much as I like to. I have to let my eyes heal. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

@OverTheHill oh you're so sweet. Thank you. I will. My first appointment is the 23rd of this month but that's only for the tests and then I will find out when my first surgery is.
