Why Bother Commenting On Other SW User's Posts?

How do you feel when there is no response to your comments? No reply, no emoji, nada, nothing?

I realize that some posts get a number of responses so you may not be able to reply to everyone. But how about a simple smile or thumbs up acknowledging another SW members comments? I have written some genuine encouraging responses to posts, and i see the post.has comments and replies to other comments, but i see nothing. Is it a popularity contest here? Do people lack basic social graces.

Late again to reply. Seems to becoming habit. I recently left what I consider a clever reply and yet no response. You have to pay attention to the number of reads. This post was made 7 hours ago and only has 6 reads. Which tells me it's not in the feed and I can't find it without reviewing my replies. No matter how I setup my feed filter it doesn't show up in the feed. That's on SW and it's stupid feed algorithm. There's nothing about the post that should limit it from showing up.

@OverTheHill Yes but you have 154 reads showing at the moment and many replies. The post I'm talking about finally has uped it's reads to thirty which is still pitiful and I don't know how because nothing I do makes it show up in the feed.
