Why Bother Commenting On Other SW User's Posts?

How do you feel when there is no response to your comments? No reply, no emoji, nada, nothing?

I realize that some posts get a number of responses so you may not be able to reply to everyone. But how about a simple smile or thumbs up acknowledging another SW members comments? I have written some genuine encouraging responses to posts, and i see the post.has comments and replies to other comments, but i see nothing. Is it a popularity contest here? Do people lack basic social graces.

i try to post on every comment but i have to admit, sometimes they get buried and i don't see them right away.

@akindheart yep, i agree ... it's akin to someone being nice to someone but not get'n an acknowledgement for being nice {not that they look for an acknowledgement} ... but it's happened to me quite a few times and i've said to myself:

"Why do i bother"
