Just had one of those last night. Pain in the ass -- interrupted a rerun of FAMILY FEUD.
I've lived through 70+ years of those alert tests; and I've lived through my state experiencing hurricanes, blizzards, tornadoes, flooding, wildfires, and the 9/11 attacks and NOT ONCE has that alert system actually been used. I assume the only time it will work is when someone drops a nuclear bomb nearby, in which case it won't do anyone any good anyway.
