My aunt called me bougie today because I asked her to take off her shoes before she entered.

Does she have a point? Am I bougie? What's your opinion?

I think it's annoying when someone invites you over and makes you take off your shoes. It sets a negative tone and makes me not want to go back. I usually bend over backwards to make guests feel comfortable.

@DailyFlash They'd feel more comfortable with their shoes off.

@SW-User my guess is she didn't like being told what to do by her niece. And took it out by calling you a name. If it's your rule it's your rule. I do remember a quote from Madonna saying she'd rather take off her top than her shoes since she had dancer's feet. Lol

@DailyFlash oh so if you dirty their floor with your shoes I hope you clean it then. 😂 wtf
