what's something or a situation from your youth that the younger generations of today would go..."seriously dude?"

...we had a tv that had no remote...dad would make me change channels by pressing buttons or turning knobs on tv
...i know how to write cursively
...i didn't own a cell phone until my 30s
...i knew what "be kind and rewind" meant on a sticker on a vhs cassette...let alone beta
...i played video games on an atari console...before that pong 🤣
.... classics like "all in the family"... 'welcome back kotter" and "charlies angels" were quality programs....
.............. the list is endless..

Riding bikes to the creek and playing in it, despite snakes and pollution. Building small forts for toy soldiers and blowing them up with fireworks. Drinking from the garden hose. Watching no TV all day during the summer. Playing sports and getting no trophy even for winning the championship.
@exexec much the same with me

@exexec I remember putting a tin can over a lighted squib (firecracker) and being astonished how high & far the explosion threw it.

@ffony Yes, that was a fun thing to do. Actually, we got in trouble because the can came down on top of my Dad's car.

@ffony we lived in a rural area and that was one of our favorite activities with fireworks.
