I just got home from fishing in a hail storm. Quarter sized hail and I was nearly 2 miles from my truck, standing in a stream..
This is where I was, in the center of the purple. Lucky me.🤣

I had a similar experience with marble sized hail while fishing...not nearly quarter size. Hope you didn't get too many lumps.

@NoThanksLeon about 5 years ago my oldest daughter had a bright idea when we lived in town to walk to Walmart. It was a beautiful day in her defense.
As we were checking out...the sky got really dark. It was supposed to be a 20 minute walk and we thought we could make it. Out of nowhere we got hit with quarter size hail. We had to stop at the local school for cover but we were black and blue afterwards.
Moral of the story...i check the weather before I go anywhere 😂
