Respectful debate please.

Morning all.
Now I don't consider myself transphobic. Fully support those who choose to transition properly and it isn't just a fad.
However picture this scenario, and I'm interested in your views.

A child in a school (female) with complex personal care. Requires staff to be trained to do a procedure and does require two members of staff present (trained, and witness) for safety purposes.

Member of staff at school originally identified as a woman and was Miss X and is now wishing to be referred to as Mr X. No actual physical transitioning at present.

No male members of staff are allowed to be present for obvious reasons.

Your thoughts?

I personally think if you wish to be addressed as a male you should be respectful and not be present during a procedure with a female child.

that person would still be a female no matter what her feelings are, so her still doing that job i think is fine unless she tried shoving that stuff on the child

@Torsten Yes okay fair point. However if they then decided to transition to have the male genitalia (biologically they're still female) would you still think the same 🤔 school policy is to have only female members of staff present 🤷

@Purplerain78 you mean mutilate their bodies to have something resembling male genitalia.
that person is still a female, no matter what they do to themselves. they are just living as the opposite sex but it still does not make them that and I dont think they should be allowed on the other side of it, like if that female was put to be a carer for a boy instead of a girl.

If they keep their opinions and identity politics to themselves and just be professional, i think it shoudl stay the same and if they cant do that. They should all be fired and not allowed to work around children
