Similar Worlds

I actually really like this site. It's not like any other. You can't speak together instantaneously but I always liked writing. I have been on this site since almost the beginning. I had been on ep before that. Which I joined when I was 13. In those days people stuck around for a long time and I made lots of friends, all ages and from all over the world. SW asked me to join when ep finished. At first I was too upset but I did join 6 months later. In some ways SW has changed a lot. The posts are usually shorter. People used to tell long, long stories and even wrote poems. But I still like the format and having a good chat!

@Justme264 I just wrote stories about my life. About school. About my type 1 diabetes and all the funny things that happen because of that. About my swimming. About the farm where I lived. And, of course, about the dragons who live in the hills around the farm. My stories were very truthful, except maybe about the dragons!

@Justme264 Yes.My Dadcu was station master and he used to take me to work with him in the holidays. It was a coal line. There are still trains collecting coal from the open cast.

@Justme264 Yes. The deep mines closed long ago. But some people still burn coal and you need coal in the blast furnaces to make steel.

@Blodyn ah ok... of course.... never occurred to me that there were open cast coal mines on Wales
