There’s something that really bothers me about this place…

Recently a bunch of young childrens pictures are being posted. I’ve seen a handful of accounts pop up, all as children but obviously stating they are 18+ or I wouldn’t be able to see them.

Does anyone care?

Doesn’t this seem weird to anyone else?

Because I see people talking to them like nothing is wrong…

You can’t report it because technically they haven’t done anything wrong?

But wtf? Really nobody is weirded out?

With the new algorithm I am missing much of the feed. I have just sent admin a message about minor profile using adult one, and having contact with questionable peeps.

I really wish this site banned all children.

@Miram it won’t let me message you. I have a screenshot of the one account, the name of another and the pictures of kids in bathing suits are gone.

Are they kids though?

Or are they bait?

@BrokenAbyss I have no clue. We can't tell if it is part of investigation off this place. Best we can ever do is report and move away from such accounts.

I wish though there were more resources focusing on fighting against child abuse online.

Straylight has a thread on her page that's for specifically for reporting pedophile shit like that.
Simply tag their account or post as a comment on that thread & there's a whole bunch of us there who will report it.
Consequently it's usually taken down or gotten rid of soon after.

There's new pedophiles getting added every day practically so I just report stuff every day tbh 🤷 it's kinda sad we gotta do that ourselves but hey

One cool part is that it even gets reported to law enforcement & there's been a number of people already charged or caught thanks to help from that thread. Not everyone gets caught.. I imagine most get away. But it actually can lead to arrests & investigations which is pretty great 🙏

In my previous profile i reported literally hundreds of people, i got 30 or 40 pedophiles profiles and posters accounts closed..
This issue has been a problem from the beginning.. my first report and suspension happened within the first two weeks here..
I'm not as vigilant as I was then but I've reported a couple of accounts..

As soon as I see something fishy like that I mute that account. If they message me I delete it and don’t respond. Most likely it’s a fake account because the youngsters are to busy with tik tok

Just because the profile picture is of a child, doesn't necessarily make the user a child. My profile picture is of a black widow spider, but I am not black, a widow, or a spider. Just saying it would be a hard one to nail down, who is who, or what is what.

@Isthisit there was a bunch in the image feed yesterday. I made a stink and now they’re gone.

I’m afraid to mention the account names because THATS against the rules. I don’t want to get deleted again because I don’t play by their stupid rules, then I can’t do anything.

There's something that really bothers me about this place.... an important topic here yet not one comment about it from site owners or admins.... but... someone took the time to fact check a user on this post about something....
Looks like we can take it that the owners and admins are more concerned with fact checking things about their site than actual bad things going on here.

Yeah I got a few notifications about another member yesterday about "fact checking" and I was thinking, "Why am *I* getting this? I had nothing to do with his posts."

Breezy keep this in mind - when people are presenting bull, they now hide behind the word "fact" a little too loosely.

Something being a "Fact" does not tell the entire story though. Well like, it is a fact that if a woman goes on a dating site, she will find a husband. The rest of the story though is - it will be someone else's husband.

Hearing something being called "Fact" now means about the same as someone "Swearing on the bible or their mother's grave".

@CestManan I'm not sure what facts were presented except for admins giving everyone a notice about their fact checking and not addressing the actual issue posted about. I don't like what I see going on with this site... now including what admins do.

People will scroll on by because they chose not to involve themselves even if they only have to report it.

There are members here that enjoy this type of thing, even ones that you suspect that are normal.

With the algorithm it’s harder to see this type of thing in the feed because if you don’t comment on these groups then won’t show up for you. The image feed is a disturbing place though.

I don't check the images link.
What I have seen that bothers me is an account that claims to be a teen boy and a lot of the posts revolve around his bare chest. It just seems way off to me.

I do believe this site is becoming a lot like another that was always fact checking people.
