@ProfessorPlum77 LOL! It's fine in areas where it has always been as innocent as "Hi"; but elsewhere it is wrong because it is unfriendly.

[At least it's personal. A couple with whom I've long exchanged Christmas cards - they supporting a charity in doing so - have latched onto some sort of commercially-produced digital "card". You type in the name and e-post it, and that's all - very artificial, totally impersonal. I was actually a bit hurt to receive one of these.]
