Be honest. If a post is more than a hundred words, are you still reading it?

Some feel like they are copy/paste’s of news sites - and what’s the point of that?
I do sometimes. If it is interesting and going somewhere then yes. If it just seems to ramble and takes forever to get to the point then I'm probably gonna stop reading.

The point is sharing something you found meaning in, exploring trains of thought, expressing ideas and reactions and feelings about things encountered in life. I read these posts out of curiosity, care, an enjoyment of perspective. If I skip something simply because it’s long, it’s because the time I have to devote to it is not.

@JustNik well said
CakeByTheOcean · 26-30, F
Probably not
helenS · 36-40, F
I prefer posts with an abstract at the beginning, and concluding remarks at the end. 😑

@JohnnyNoir Yes we need to establish peer-reviewing of SW posts.
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
@helenS absolutely! It'll weed out all the riff raff, probably even me
@helenS People don’t come here H to actually learn. They come to be silly and laugh… haha Too much work for the average user.

Sometimes, yes. It depends on what's being said.

My cutoff is probably longer than 100, but when a post goes on and on spouting some conspiracy theory, I stop reading. I agree that often they are copy and pastes.

If the first couple of sentences get me hooked, I will read. If I can't put attention to it, I will skip it.

They don’t just feel like copy-paste jobs, they are copy-paste jobs. And I have no idea why these people think we haven’t already read them on the original news sites.

Yes lol. 100 words isn't that many. I do find posts easier to follow if they relate to events or other interesting topics, as opposed to being about someone's personal life. There's exceptions with regard to the readability of such posts but some of these personal posts really do go on and I'm so meh.

People looking for dating advice or help with their depression or whatever definitely have the most boring posts lol...sorry.

Unless I'm really interested in the content then probably not
If I am interested, yes. But usually no.
Nope. Get to the point. More is not better.
[c=359E00]5 lines maximum, or i won't read 🤣[/c]

JestAJester · 31-35, M
Practically every political post on here. However they are very much fun to troll
Quimliqer · 70-79, M
Yes, by reading one gets the point the author wishes to portray!!
spjennifer · 56-60, T
The gawdbots with the posts longer than my 32" screen are the worst 😖
Casheyane · F
A hundred words is just a drabble. It's short actually.

If it’s someone I like I do..otherwise no
