Someone I met years ago was always on my ass for making excuses for my actions.. made me realize I did it all the time without meaning to or realizing.

I never make excuses for my actions or try to justify my wrongs anymore.. I simply admit it & do better. Why waste words on excuses & promising to do better? Just do it

To leave someone that was probably going to end up killing me haha

To let go of someone I'd let myself love for far too long after he'd hurt me. To stop looking past that hurt, acknowledge it was happening, and stop making excuses for the person hurting me.

To see what I'm worth.

To take care of myself ..as much as i do with other people

I was told to be careful about my drinking, and also I was encouraged to just admit that I'm gay and not to try too hard to convince myself that I was sexually attracted to women as well.

The importance of communication in a relationship. Even if the topic is difficult and you’re afraid of the reaction, find a time for the conversation. Take turns talking and listening in a focused way.
