Does it? Surely that is only true if you have an OLED display. If you have an LCD then the backlight has to be on for dark mode too otherwise you won't be able to see the text.

@Mindfulness Not sure if it counts as knowledge. It's more an argument from first principles. But I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct. In my case the only thing that made my mobile battery last longer was buying a new mobile!
