Can you rent an apartment without credit history?

I never bought on credit and rented two different apartment complexes. I think they go more by how well you pay your utilities and if you have a steady job. You need to call around and see.

Yes because having no credit history is your credit history. At least it shows you aren't under any obligation to creditors.

However, my advice to you is to get a credit card and make more than the minimum payments every month to establish credit because each apartment complex will have their own rules.

Whereas one may deny you, another may see it my way.
If there's any way you can remember me let me know how it goes because I've had so many dealings with apartments I'm also curious if you can rent one.
Good luck.

It kind of depends on the apartment and who the owner/s are. Larger complexes with corporate owners tend to have tighter screening requirements than say a single apartment above a storefront owned by a private individual. You can also sometimes influence that decision by negotiating a higher security deposit or pre-paying an extra months rent.
