Disappearing DMs?

Have you ever had messages disappear from youre inbox that you yourself did not delete?
I have messages in ny inbox from years ago from peeps who left, or even got banned...but the messages are still there even if the username is no longer displayed.
I read a post earlier from someone claiming messages off a certain user had disappeared.

Is this likely? Has it happened to you?

I doubt that's happened.
Either the person deleted the dms themselves without remembering!

No never to my knowledge. They stay there until you archive them.

One caveat...

Maybe you could "see" a message on your inbox page but not open it. The other user could edit it before you read it then when you went back you might think it had gone.

@SW-User ive never seen it hapoen either. I dont think it can happen....thats why i asked. Someone i spoke to on a post a few days ago insisted hed been having a nice chat with a member who appeared to have left. He said he couldnt find her and we told him he only had to click on the messages in his inbox and if she was still here it would take him to her. If it didnt, shed gone. But he insisted the messages had disappeared into thin air.

You might want to change your password, just in case someone has hacked your account. I don't know why a conversation would disappear otherwise.

@Stillwaiting any messages you had from them directly would still be in your inbox but if you click their name it tells you you cannot visit that profile. I have lots in my inbox from people who have since blocked me... or me them.

I dont believe they ever just disappear.

I sneak into some people's inboxes when they aren't looking, steal some of their messages and destroy them. 😂🤣
