You need to keep moving. Keeping core strength is very important.
The standard of your advice so far is poor.
The fact you had an x ray, which has no indication in non traumatic back pain is an indication of the knowledge of your doctor, or that you live in a rural area.
Physio is the usual recommendation.
If you develop any nerve symptoms in both legs especially altered sensation down below. Go to hospital not your family doctor.

Do you do stretches?

@KuroNeko currently I am on meds for past 10 days and doctor has prohibited me from doing any physical work even exercise ...he would recommend me after a month ...he said

I would seriously download or buy Chronic Pain: Your Key to Recovery by Georgie Oldfield. It builds on the work of a guy called Dr John Sarno. My mother cured her back pain of about 11 years with this. At least check the book out. Good luck :)
