Nothing profound. Oberon was Pucks boss..........sort of.

@Oberon1 That's actually pretty cool.
How many people here do you think ever read A Midsummer Night's Dream?
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@Dainbramadge This place is teaming with geniuses! I would say the average IQ on SW is at least 240! Higher than Einstein but not quite Ainan Celeste Cawley!
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Oberon1 I did an I.Q. question once and you called it. The people that piped in with the Mega Mensa scores were numerous. LOL
Half these folks must be able to shoot lasers out of their eyes. LOL.
Now to be fair I did a search on those two names but ... I did read most of it in school. LOL
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@Dainbramadge I confess. I tested at 131, but I am highly enlightened! 😆
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Oberon1 Screw you braggart.
I have an excuse for a low score and it is the truth. Mom will vouch for me. LOL.
I got a 116. Not horrible but I was kind of drunk and this was before we found my juicy case of ADHD.
I also took it in half the time. The reason I did that was I thought that I should just see the answer after a few seconds of examining the question. Picture. Sequence. What ever you call them. LOL. I didn't think I should have to spend too much time on each question because I either knew it or didn't.
Now my ADHD score, from 0 (Brain Dead) and 100 ( Hyper as hell) I scored an 87.15 with the base line being 50.
So there mister over achiever. LOL.
Actually all jokes aside. 131 is damned respectable and low enough to be believable.

@Dainbramadge I think EQ is just as critical as IQ. I am emotionally 14 years old. That makes it hard to be 60!
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Oberon1 I'm right there with you.
And if we had to put chips down ... I would have to say EQ would have to take the win. LOL

@Dainbramadge I am also an anachronism. That's probably why I am such a paleoconservative. I like myself but I am well aware of my 'shortcomings' . I'm also aware of things I consider assets but others consider faults. Working the twelve steps is a real eye opener. The nature of my character defects is selfishness and immaturity. It doesn't magically disappear.
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Oberon1 I almost. ... almost said " So I have no hope of maturing by the time I'm your age". LOL
Then, just before i started to type, I realized I am your age already. LOL.
I am kind of the same way. I have HUGE faults that I wear on my sleeve. I figure if I can't change them then I will own them. I spent way too much time and energy trying to rid myself of them to no avail.
I try to work within them rather than around them.
Like you said, some things people see as faults you see as assets. I have some clunks in my trany but I can still get around.
I might be a mess right now but brighter days are on my horizon.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@Dainbramadge I am glad you see a bright future. If I put in the effort I can improve my life considerably! It seems really easy to isolate, but nothing changes if nothing changes!
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Oberon1 Oh man. I started to isolate out of being way depressed. The clinical kind not a self diagnoses. Bi-Polar 2. It took forever to get into a functioning position .. so that wasn't my fault but later I found myself doing it to avoid hassles. Got used to it and those hassles were called life.
So when the energy level permits I make sure I push myself out of the comfort zone. Nothing big ... just the occasional mindless meandering. Short term.
Obtainable goals might as well be my middle name. I'm all about the success and avoid disappointing myself as much as possible.
It's starting to get easier. I can see isolation being an easy trap to fall back into.
