Is it mandatory to heart all the answers or comments one may get on their posts on here?
Like a polite thing to do or whatever(?).

No. Just if you get the urge. I used to heart them all as a way of saying thanks for taking the time. Then it got like i was trying not to hurt feelings or play favorites. But it's a pretty tough crowd here no one expects all their answers hearted but enjoy getting best answer. If I'm wrong someone will tell me. Rest assured.
