Took me this long to start wondering, why Similar Worlds is offering VIP...

I'm quite certain, that most of us are using AdBlock Plus and/or uBlock Origin. I have never seen a single ad on the site... So, what is the point of VIP, really?

Besides those things that have already been mentioned, I've heard (though I don't think it has been proven) that reports from VIP's tend to be taken more seriously than reports from nonpaying members. I believe I once heard it said that a report from one VIP member carries as much weight as reports from 10 nonpaying members.

[c=#008099]Respectfully, this is absolute bullshit. I know that hearsay to be bullshit because I am not a VIP member here at SW. Yet every single post I have ever flagged since I came here, has been addressed and documented to my own account file for my own personal audit purposes. I normally only flag abusive behavior. Therefore, most non-VIP types such as myself, are not necessarily ignored in favor of those whom have been extorted for VIP status.

The only exception to me receiving any follow-up from flagging some abusive behavior, occurred about 12 months ago when 2 particularly obnoxious usernames were bullying various members of this website, saying all kinds of unfounded bullshit, provoking people, essentially making up their stories as they went along, yet supporting each other in their collective endeavors from one end of this website to the other and in all categories of social interest.

After flagging these individuals as well as other affected members flagging these same circus freaks, I conducted my own research through a process I helped pioneer several years ago while in university, called 'forensic voice blueprinting'.

Using this process on this website, I was able to determine beyond the shadow of a 99% accuracy factor, that the offending trolls in question who were creating all the problems here12 months ago, were in fact, Similar World Moderators who possessed multiple username accounts. There were actually 3 such individuals involved in total, but only 2 of them predominated the problems associated with this website, all of which began to occur not long after the inception of this website. Collectively, they were also 'known' problem children at Experience Project prior to that website's eventual demise.

Those same individuals were (or still are) personal friends of the owners of another similar website called 'Relate To That' prior to them all migrating over here to SW. And on that website, this group of three, while even using the same usernames, were permitted by their management friends to troll that website in a very abusive manner while receiving no flack whatsoever from management at anytime for their collective trolling actions. In fact, they were openly supported by the self-described 'mom and pop' management staff at 'Relate To That', or more commonly known as 'R2T. And those same assholes in question are still the ones throwing gas on any fire you see develop here.[/c]

@swirlie Thank you for sharing that with me. It's good to know that your reports have been taken seriously. Now that I think about it, almost all of mine have been too. It's something that I've heard, but maybe it's not true.

That's sad, about what happened at Relate To That. I never did join that site, so I didn't see what happened there. I'm sure there's a lot that I don't know, about what goes on behind the scenes, though I have seen some drama here and I am aware of some things that others don't seem to be aware of. Being observant helps too. Most people don't pay attention to something until they are personally affected by it. It's discouraging when it's allowed to go on.
