Why are some people on this site so rude and abusive, and when I call them out on their behaviour they become worse?

My "basic premise" is just FINE, thank you very much. I don't expect anything to be sunshine and roses. That doesn't make anyone civilized. I am not that naïve. But there is no need to be posting pictures with obscene messages or gestures (just had another one today).

@MaryJanine the same creepy people who are walking around out there find this a perfect place to anonymously be the idiots they are. Yeah, it's annoying as hell but there is no way to keep them out which is why the block and mute buttons are so valuable. I think you should accept that it won't change...your expectations need to change..for your own sake

Like I just said, my "expectations" are JUST FINE. I don't expect to be able to change anyone on this site. Disagreements are one thing. But an overweight ape giving me the finger is quite another.

Absolutely NOT. I share many of BrookeBondage's views on this subject, but I am NOT her. Haven't you seen my posts to and/or from her? Please, don't assume what you don't know about ANYONE on SW.

I expect to be treated as a human being - not as a "dumb animal" or anything else, Fergie. This is not just MY issue. On a post that came out over a year ago, some new troll posted 12 different replies on a conversation between me and another SW friend. They included suggestive pictures that look like they were lifted from someplace else. I have the right to express my anger over someone else's interference. I don't need to "toughen up" as you put it, thank you very much. You aren't obligated to read anything I post.

The world is full of rude people and you will encounter them as we all must...it's an unreasonable expectation you have that everyone will give you the respect you think you deserve. I perused your profile and posts and for the most part you whine a lot about how badly you're treated on the internet...which tells me that you are waaaay too thin skinned to BE on the internet. No one is that special...no one can escape it...you will be insulted and disrespected from time to time...that is what the internet IS...accept it. I'm finding this conversation extremely tiring now. I won't be reading anymore of your words so don't waste your time

I am a member of SW, as you are,too. I regret that you think I "jumped down your throat" as you phrased it. I defend my friends and people I agree with on this site. It's not necessary you know me. Most of us don't know each other from Adam or Eve.
