Once in a while, not very often. If I do follow someone now, that person has to be someone special, or someone I already know. I've been hurt before and don't want to go through that again.

Not usually. I don't actively 'follow' anyone tbh. I always just look at the home page which shows me all posts.
I do add people to my circle if I like them.
