Are people really afraid of schizophrenics?

We aren't dangerous to anyone (as far as I can tell) except maybe ourselves.

I have schizoaffective disorder, and I'm usually the victim of my illness and a group of undercovers and other schizophrenics and the general public all the time and sometimes my family too.
