Is a selfie display picture really worth it?

I don't think it has to be a selfie, but I think it should represent your personality.

A selfie is just a picture.I like my profile pic cause it's artistic and pretty.People could like their face and find themselves pretty enough that they want to use it as a profile pic.Nothing wrong with feeling good about a picture you took of yourself, I doubt they feel good about themselves 24/7 anyways.
A profile pic is also defining since its the first thing people see besides my username.So I don't see why someone cant use their face :)
Its of them, makes them recognisable too.Works the same as any other profile picture.
