How many users on here have you blocked, so far?

@WoodyAq I see no valour in suffering fools. I can't stand this holier-than-thou "tolerance" thing for "people who are different than me". I'm not going to ignore them and "be the bigger person." That's nonsense.

@CoffeeFirst I have been blocked for 1) making an off-colour joke in a thread to another user that the main poster disapproved; 2) A number of times for questioning Donald Trump's campaign connections and for suggesting his economic policies weren't all that; 3) For dissing Tom Brady and the New England Patriots;
4) a couple of times for other users' bizarre interpretations of my views; 5) Who knows how many times for asserting that America's war on drugs, lax control of gun exports, and habit of organizing coups may be contributing to instability in Latin America.

So, my experience with frequent blockers is that they are 1) censorious prudes; 2) Are really into Donald Trump, and won't hear any logic against him; 4) like to impose their own ideas about what others are saying rather than listening; and 5) America rules! Love it or leave it!

Only in the case of number (3) do I actually respect the blocker and her choice.

So, are you a Patriot's fan?

I dont think I fit into any of those categories. And you have to remember, I'm female. I've been called an old, a hag, a prude and a cynic for no reason. Not to mention those stupid ass "wanna suck my dick with your coffee?" PMs.

@CoffeeFirst Okay about the last one. I agree that deserves a block. I've been called a lot of nasty stuff too, I generally issue a warning, and ask for respect, or fire a short barbed retort. I've only had to block twice.

I don't know you or the people you have been dealing with, so I'm trying not to judge.

But my own experience with people who brag about how many people they block has not impressed me ...

@WoodyAq I don't think that's really fair to assume that just because someone hits the block button a lot, that they like doing it. You don't know what it's like to be female on here.

I've seen this type of question numerous times. It's probably shocking to have to block so many people so quickly, but that's SW for you.

Everyone does what they feel comfortable with and what makes them comfortable being here.

And you know, I have told men who sent very salacious PMs that they are being rude and should apologize; don't approach me like that and make assumptions about why I'm here. They do apologize usually.

@CoffeeFirst I don't PM usually, so I can't say about that side of it.

I think there are people who are being genuinely harassed, so I'm glad the tool is there.

But I have seen a number of "pro-blocking" posts where my immediate thought was, "so you are bragging about how narrow-minded you are?"

But that seems not to be you, so perhaps I was the judgemental one in this case. My apologies.
