In order for us to verify your account, we'll need you to take a clear new photo of yourself, showing your face.
In the photo, you must hold up a piece of paper with the current Day/Month/Year, your Username and 'Similar Worlds' written on it
Hmmmm.... I dunno :?

It's not that hard to find pics on internet of people holding pieces of paper, and anyone with a little Photoshop know-how can edit their username, etc on that piece of paper.

I guess it could work, if more than one try to use the same pic though

@hahaheheuhhaha Too reliant on human detection accuracy and definitely not infallible.

@Fishy If you do that, you won't be able to recover your account. A public photo (different from the paper photo) is also necessary to mark your profile as verified.

@hahaheheuhhaha How though?

@Nuno I'm a tad lost,

What if the person never had a photo of themselves as a profile pic before? What would you have to compare it to?

@Fishy Gentle153 had replied to another comment --- "There are two steps to this, both optional. Step one allows you to recover your account if you lost your password and access to your email account. Other users will not see that. The second step will show other members that you are verified and allows them to confirm this by comparing a public verification photo with the ones in your albums and posts."

@Fishy The first photo needs to include the current date, your username and "Similar Worlds". It is close to impossible to find a picture like that on the internet. Editing a picture in such a way that it looks original to a human taking a close look requires rare skills. No system is 100% perfect, but this would stop 99.9% of members using other people's pictures from getting verified.
